HELLO DOLLY CAKE


This is a very old recipe that I got from my mother. She got it from an old copy of the Fort
Worth Star Telegram many years ago. I know this, because I am still making the recipe from
that old cut out recipe. It’s very small, the copy of the recipe I mean, but this recipe packs a
punch as far as being absolutely delicious and a real crowd pleaser. It’s very rich as you can see
by the ingredients. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Enjoy!
HELLO DOLLY CAKE
Ingredients:
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
Put the melted butter in the bottom of a 9×9 pan. Then layer the remaining ingredients starting
with the graham cracker crumbs, then the chocolate chips, the coconut, the chopped pecans
and the pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top. Bake for 30 min. in a 350
degree oven. Remove and let cool completely. Cut into bars. These are very rich and delicious!
This recipe is also very easy to double, just make in a larger pan. I guarantee that these will not
last very long, but you can store them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator and they will
last quite a while or you can freeze them too!
