love your kitchen towels
you are doing great
Whenever I cook an meat-I put away half of it for another meal-make more veggies and they are really the star. My son does hard physical labor each day and I make sure he has a good nutritious meal before he leaves and pack his lunch. He knows I now do a food plan and it is easier for me to fix his lunch and do the cooking when able. I also fix him a plate for his meal as I am cleaning up so all he has to do it heat when he gets home after a long shift, that way he does not use something I am counting on for the next meal. Thanks for all the info you share with us, it has really helped me. I do not understand all these people who are here complaining-go away and leave us alone! I had to come back and comment-we never had sodas in the house growing up-koolaide was a treat. The only time we had sodas was when we went camping and my mom starting buying them a few at a time when on sale before vaca and we knew if we touched what would happen. When we went camping we were only allowed with main meal-I just do not understand the homes where the kids rule-guess I am from a different generation. When my parents spoke, I listened and did what I was told-whether I like it or not. I have plans to start precooking my ground beef and freeze in recipe portions-just not there yet. I buy ground beef in bulk in and separate in freezer bags and flatten out to freeze and THAW easier. Wow, love the idea of grocery delivery-may have to use that when I have my next surgery-aldi has signs up fo something along this -canlt wait till it comes to our area.
Great tips ladies! Looks like you have a good time together..
I really love this type of video. Keep doing this. I love seeing the difference between the sizes of dishes. I found coffee mugs from the 1970s and they are half the size of today's coffee mugs.
I have been known to can leftovers or freeze them into tv dinner type meals. no waste.
I use my Food Saver to reseal cookie/cracker/chip bags (the original bags). Just stop it before the food gets crushed. I may go a couple of weeks before I want more and have never had problems with it staying fresh.
5 meals from one chicken? How big are your chickens? We barely feed a family of 4 with one little chicken (the ones we get from our grocery store)
I fill up the kids water bottles for school and sports events or shopping.. From the huge bottles of water I have delivered..
I find I make them deliver all the huge cheap bottles of water all the tins, potatoes root veg..pt hen go to aldI or lidle to buy fresh fruits and other veg , fish, meats, cheese etc
Perfect size of cereal bowel even For adults. I hate the way America does huge portion over here in the UK we still do the old size portion your mum was talking about. I love this lady she is SPOT ON
Restaurants use the left overs and call it the special of the day or next few days.. These business got rich by not wasting a thing, we have toTreat our kitchen like a business.. Many time I've re used left overs and changed it into another dish or add other stuff to it jazz it up a little be creative ☝️☝ these women are spot on and if they ran their own restaurant they'd be millionaires . Yes I still cut the apples up for my 2 teenagers or they eat half I chop up fruit in a tiny bowl each and they eat every bit direct after dinner. Fruit every night ..
Your mum looks so young you both have fabulous skin so I can see you don't eat junk… Clever LADIES
I find that being a vegetarian is pretty economical.
Great ideas! I agree, we waste too much food with poor planning. It's hard, after a stressful day at work, to feel like cooking, but your cookbook has lots of fast, easy recipes. I made a list of fast meals to survive those days. I defrost pre cooked meat fast by putting my freezer bag in a sink of cold water. It thaws in 20 mins. easily, without microwaving plastic (bad).
I've followed you on Facebook and had no idea you had a YouTube channel! Talk about spacing out:). Thank you for both of you because learning this from my busy single mom just did not happen. Love the portion control suggestions.
G'day from Australia! How much is a dime?
